Armed police arrested four men in connection with an aggravated burglary in Chatham on Sunday.
Just after 6.15am four men forced their way into a property in Street End Road and assaulted the occupant.
The suspects were reported to have left the scene in the stolen vehicle and another car.
Just before 7.30am officers armed with machine guns stopped a dark coloured saloon car near Dux Court Road roundabout in Hoo.
Eyewitnesses saw two men handcuffed and kneeling on the ground.
Fabion Kuci, 21, of Lithos Road, Hampstead, Ellis Oscar, 25, of no fixed address and James Junior Benjamin, 21, also of no fixed address, were all charged with aggravated burglary dwelling and theft of a motor vehicle,
An 18-year-old from London was also charged cannot be named for legal reasons.
The quartet appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court on 14 July and were remanded in custody.
A court date is yet to be set.
