A teenager has been charged with two counts of attempted grievous bodily harm after a man and a woman were allegedly shot with a suspected air rifle.
Officers arrested two people, the 18-year-old and a 41-year-old man from an address in John Street, Rochester, on Monday evening, after armed police were called to the scene.
The pair were arrested when officers with guns were called out to the road just after 5pm after a man and woman walking along the street were injured.
The couple, who suffered minor injuries, were hit by what were thought to be air gun pellets, but did not need hospital treatment.
The two men arrested were apprehended by police at an address in the same road and earlier today, a police spokesman said the 18-year-old man had been charged.
The spokesman added: “Alfie Brooks, 18, of John Street, Rochester, has been charged with two counts of attempted GBH and one count of possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
“He has been bailed to appear before Medway magistrates on Tuesday, August 30.”
The other man, also from John Street, was released without charge.
