Two men have been arrested by armed police in a residential street.
Firearms officers were called to Tunbury Avenue in Chatham at around 3.20pm.
It comes after a man was seen with what was believed to be a weapon.
A police spokesman said: "An imitation firearm was recovered and officers are continuing to make enquiries."
