A man has been arrested after a woman was reportedly sexually assaulted in a town centre car park.
The incident is believed to have happened in Corporation Street, Rochester between 1am and 3am on Sunday (November 12).
It allegedly took place in a car park between the junctions of Blue Boar Lane and Northgate - next to a car wash and opposite the train station.
Police arrested a man in connection with the offence yesterday (November 13).
A 21-year-old from Strood remains in custody while the investigation continues.
Officers are continuing to urge anyone with information which may assist the investigation to come forward, including people who may have attended the City Wall Wine Bar.
Sanjay Raval, who runs the High Street bar, said he had handed over CCTV footage to the police.
He said: “We will of course be helping the police in their investigation in any way we can.”
Motorists with dashcam who may have been in the area, as well as residents with doorbell cameras or CCTV, are being urged to check for any footage.
