A man has been arrested on suspicion of making threats after an incident in Gillingham this morning.

Police were called at 9.13am following reports of a disturbance in Middle Street.

Specialist teams, including armed officers, were deployed to the scene and resolved the incident.

A 47-year-old man was detained and arrested at 10.42am.

He is currently in custody awaiting interview. Nobody was injured during the incident.
