A man has been arrested after a helicopter search for a man reportedly seen carrying a bag containing imitation firearms.
Officers were called just after 4.30pm yesterday after a member of the public expressed concern after seeing some items in a man’s bag at a building in Windmill Road, Gillingham.
The police helicopter was scrambled and a man was arrested nearby.
Two items, believed to be imitation firearms, have been recovered.
A police spokesman said: “There were no threats made to any members of the public. Officers are not looking for anyone else.”
