A suspected knifeman has been arrested after a man was stabbed in the head in Rochester.

Police were called to a house in The Fairway to reports of an assault.

Ambulance crews also attended and treated a man in his 60s for stab wounds to his head.

He was taken to hospital but has since been discharged.

A 41-year-old man arrested on suspicion of assault has been released on bail until June 6.

Officers are continuing to investigate the incident, which happened at around 6.20pm on Sunday.
