A man was arrested following a large police presence on a residential street.

Officers were called to Maidstone Road, in Rochester, at about 5.15pm yesterday (October 3) to reports of a disturbance involving a group of people.

Four police vehicles attended the scene, near Topps 2 Toe Hair and Beauty Salon, and were seen blocking one land of the road.

Officers spoke to those present and a man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly and a public order offence.

He remains in custody pending further inquiries.
