A mother of two has appealed for help to find her autistic son's missing cat after the loss caused him to have a panic attack.
Keeley Richards, of Marden Road, in Frindsbury near Strood, was left heartbroken after Ranger failed to return home last Sunday.
The much-loved pet is a companion to Keeley's 12-year old son Liam who has autism.
The teaching assistant said: "He chose him, he feeds him, he's his safety net, he's his baby. He's the only person he does anything for."
Keeley got a tip-off that a family in Albany Road, Gillingham had taken the cat in and were looking after him.
To her devastation, when she and her son turned up to collect Ranger, he had once again gone missing.
The 41-year-old added: "He had a panic attack in the people's house last night as he didn't know they had lost him. He is really reliant on him."
"We all love him, he is our family but for Liam he is so important."
