A baby was born next to a roundabout on a main road.
Ambulance crews confirmed they were called to a woman in labour at the roadside on Saturday morning.
Two crews were sent to Will Adams Way in Gillingham, near the Premier Inn, at 9.50 am.
Spokesman for SECAMB Rich Airey said: "Both reached the woman within minutes and assisted her give birth.
"The mother and child were both taken to Medway Maritime Hospital.
"We are pleased to see, from posts on social media, that they are both doing well. We wish them all the best."
