Baby boy from Walderslade taken to hospital after 'drowning'

A toddler suffered a heart attack after apparently 'drowning' at a Walderslade property.

The 18-month-old boy suffered a cardiac arrest on Friday afternoon, according to the Kent Air Ambulance.

The tot was taken to Gillingham's Medway Maritime Hospital by land ambulance after the helicopter crew was stood down en-route.

Land ambulance staff confirmed the boy was submerged under water, and was taken to hospital. But they could not confirm his condition.

Emergency services were called to the propertyjust after 3.30pm.

A Medway Police spokesman said officers are not investigating the incident.
