Man stabbed in back with 'screwdriver' during row in Gillingham

A man has been stabbed in the back with what is believed to have been a screwdriver in Gillingham.

The 29-year-old victim was attacked during a row with two other men - one riding a bicycle and the other a motorbike.

Kent Police said it is thought the attack might have been witnessed by as many as 20 people.

It happened at the High Street and Sappers Walk junction, near WH Smith, at about 6.10pm on Thursday.

A police spokesman said the victim, from Gillingham, suffered puncture wounds to his back, but these are not thought to be serious.
