Police are hunting a man who approached a schoolgirl as she was walking along a busy road in Rainham.
Officers are appealing for witnesses after a bald-headed man drove alongside the girl on the wrong side of the road and got out of his car to approach her.
The girl, 11, managed to run away, but police are keen to trace the driver so they can speak to him.
The incident happened in Long Catlis Road, Parkwood, just after 8am last Wednesday, February 10.
The girl was on the pavement, walking against the traffic when she noticed a silver car travelling slowly alongside her on the wrong side of the road.
The driver, a man, got out of the car and approached her before she ran away.

Police said the car the man was driving was silver with a logo on the bottom of one of its doors, which was three colours - blue, pink and green.
The youngster was able to give a description of the man, who she said had a white thin face, dark brown eyes and a bald head with white hair on the sides.
He was wearing a blue jacket and red top.
DC Stewart Catt said: "I would encourage anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident or who recognises the descriptions to get in touch as you may be able to help with our ongoing enquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding this incident.
"I’d like to take this opportunity to ask parents to remind their children of stranger danger advice and that if they think they’re being followed to head towards a busy area and tell someone, which is what the girl did in this case."
