A disqualified driver was caught behind the wheel with two children in the back of his car.
Joe Cooper, 26, from Medway was caught by police driving a Kia Rio 2 on the A249 near Queenborough in Sheppey in June.
Not only was Cooper found to be driving while banned, he also didn't have any insurance.
Cooper, of Solomon Road, Rainham, admitted both offences when he appeared before magistrates in Medway on August 3, and was sentenced there on Wednesday, September 28.
James Nichols, prosecuting, said: "He was stopped on June 24 and two children were found in the back of the car with him."
The court heard his current ban runs out in March 2023.
Magistrates also heard Cooper, who works in car sales, had only driven the Kia because his mother, who has health issues, had left her medication at his former partner's address, so he went to pick the tablets up.
They decided to place Cooper on a 12-month community order which will see him complete 80 hours of unpaid work.
He will get six points on his licence. Cooper was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £114 and £85 court costs.
