A bible, a mini drone, a model helicopter and a car were just some of the items stolen by Medway burglar.
Justin Ashford, 37, stole the car and its keys and also took a laptop and a television.
He also stole a watch of sentimental value which had been given to the homeowner as a birthday present.
Following the break-in officers were called to investigate and later found the stolen in Yalding Close, Strood.
Ashford, of West Street, in the town, was found near to the car and officers also found the car key which had been thrown onto a nearby grass verge.
Ashford was jailed at Maidstone Crown Court earlier this month, after pleading guilty to one count of burglary and six counts of fraud.
He was jailed for two years and six months after the judge heard how on an evening in July last year, he burgled the house in Cooling Road, Strood.
The court also heard how in July a rucksack went missing from a car in West Street, Strood.
Inside the rucksack was a wallet containing various bank cards, and following this incident Ashford pleaded guilty to using these bank cards in various locations in the Towns.
DC Richard Sears who investigated the incidents, said: "Ashford thought that by breaking into this house he would make some quick cash as well as get away with stealing the victim’s car.
"I hope his sentencing acts as a deterrent to others who maybe thinking of committing similar crimes.
"We will not tolerate crimes within Medway and will also investigate thoroughly to ensure offenders are brought to justice."
