There was an accident on the A229 Blue Bell Hill this morning.

The incident on the approach to Maidstone involved two cars and a motorcycle.

It occurred on the south-bound carriageway, between Chatham and Maidstone, close to the junction with Lower Warren Road, at around 7.45am this morning.

Police initially held the traffic while emergency services attended. The motorcyclist suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital.

Long queues soon built up, but the road is now clear, and the queues have gone.
