A biker has been left seriously injured after a crash with a car.

The motorcyclist has been rushed to a London hospital following the accident in Maidstone Road, Rochester in the early hours of this morning.

It happened outside the Kings Rochester Sports Centre, between The Tideway and Stony Lane, at about 2am.

A police spokesman said: “Kent Police was called at 1.58am on Monday, June 17 2024, to a collision involving a car and a motorcycle in Maidstone Road, Rochester near the junction with The Tideway.

“Officers and paramedics attended the scene where the motorcyclist was treated for injuries described as serious.

“He was taken to a London hospital for further medical attention.”

The road was closed throughout the night for investigation work to be carried out but has since reopened.
