Nick and Clare Perry waited five long years for their daughters, but the wait was well worth it.
Their twin girls, Megan and Aimee were born a year ago, on Christmas Day, after IVF treatment.
We reported on their birth and proud dad Nick told us the girls were the best present ever.
Now, as the family prepare for the girls’ first Christmas and their first birthday, mum Clare said this year has been: “The best year of our lives.”
The twins, who live with their parents in Keating Close, Rochester, were born at Medway Maritime Hospital, by caesarean on Christmas afternoon.
Megan came first, at 3.27pm and weighed in at 6lb 2oz with Aimee arriving just a minute later, weighing 6lb 10oz.
They came home from hospital on January 2, and have had an amazing year so far.
