The 33-year-old public relations professional and her fiancé, Christopher Elkins, 36, a skilled carpenter, were drawn to one another following their shared passion for the construction world.

They met on a building site, where Jessica, fresh out of university, was working for her father's business.

With initials that align perfectly with the construction machinery brand, JCB, the idea of arriving at her wedding in a digger seemed perfect for the mum-of-one.

The couples journey to their big day hasn't been without its twists and turns.

Originally planning to tie the knot in 2020, their wedding plans were thwarted by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The couple's rescheduled wedding will now take place at Jessica's parents' home in the seaside town of Southend, in Essex today, Sunday, August 23.

Departing from Diggerland, situated within the Medway Valley Leisure Park complex, enthusiasts of construction machinery will have the opportunity to witness the distinctive Diggerland-branded JCB embarking on its voyage.

The journey will take it through the Dartford tunnel, leading into Essex.

Its ultimate destination will be the wedding venue, where Jessica will drive the JCB herself to her own wedding.

Jessica contacted JCB never imagining a response.

To her sheer delight, destiny intervened, and JCB extended a call for assistance to one of their largest customers, Diggerland.

Together, JCB and Diggerland arranged for a new JCB 3CX, a backhoe loaderfor this momentous occasion.

As a result, Jessica found herself not only with the iconic of British machinery for her wedding day but also with the opportunity to make a lasting memory.

Sherene Garvin-Mack, UK marketing & guest relations manager at Diggerland, said: “We were thrilled to learn about Jessica's plan to arrive at her wedding ceremony in a JCB 3CX.

“At Diggerland, we celebrate creativity and uniqueness, and we're honoured to be a part of Jessica and Christopher's special day."
