Motorists are in for five nights of disruption as work take place on key route.

Road users are being advised there will be single lane closures on Rochester Bridge overnight from Monday, November 29 to Friday, December 3.

The works are part of a routine cleaning and maintenance programme and will be carried out by FM Conway, on behalf of the Rochester Bridge Trust.

A spokesman said: "These works are part of a periodical programme to ensure the bridges are maintained at the high standards achieved during the 2019-20 refurbishment project."

The closures are scheduled to run from approximately 9pm until 5am in order to minimise disruption to road-users.
