A man and a woman who were arrested on suspicion of running a brothel have been released pending further inquiries.

They were arrested on December 4 after officers in the Medway Community Policing Team were sent to an address in Milton Road, Gillingham, as part of an ongoing investigation.

A 25-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman, both from the town, were arrested on suspicion of exploiting prostitution for gain, and managing a brothel.

They were taken into custody and later bailed to attend Maidstone Police Station yesterday.

Both of them have now been released while officers continue to investigate the matter.
