Part of a busy road was blocked following a crash involving an overturned vehicle.

It happened on the A229 southbound between Junction 3 of the M2 at Blue Bell Hill and Lower Bell Junction.

One lane was temporarily closed and police attended while paramedics assessed and treated one patient at the scene before discharging them.

Shortly before 5.30pm all lanes had reopened.

National Highways has advised drivers to approach with caution and delays are expected in the area.

Police have been contacted for more information.
