Police seize cannabis plants from property in Saunders Street Gillingham

Police officers have seized cannabis plants from a property.

They uncovered an estimated 200 plants at a property in Saunders Street, Gillingham yesterday (Wednesday, August 21).

Police who were on patrol forced entry to the premises after noticing a strong smell of cannabis.

Police described the operation as a cannabis cultivation and have seized a number of plants.

There was also evidence of that the electricity supply had been tampered with.

Police spokesman James Walker said: "At present, no arrests have been made. Enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing."
