A motorist walked away from this crash after his car smashed through a fence and into a field.

The accident happened at around 6am in Lower Rainham Road, Gillingham, on Saturday.

Witnesses said the young male driver was shaken by the accident but did not need hospital treatment.

He was travelling in the direction of Rainham at the time of the crash, close to the junction with Lower Twydall Lane.

A resident said: "This sort of accident has happened about 20 times in the past 10 years. The farmer has replaced the fence on several occasions."
