Fire crews were called out to a car fire in Strood in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday).

Firefighters received a report of a fire on the drive of a residential property just off Bligh Way around 1am.

Two fire engines attended the scene and battled the Vauxhall Zafira blaze for half an hour.

A spokesman for the fire service said the vehicle was completely destroyed.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
