A section of the main road through Medway was closed off after a car fire.

The A2 at Rainham High Street was shut off after the blaze.

A crew from Medway was called out just after 9am this morning and were fighting the flames for around 15 minutes.

Police were also at the scene for traffic management.

The cause of the fire is not believed to be suspicious.
