Part of the M2 had to be shut on Friday evening after a collision and fire.
The accident happened on the coast bound carriageway, approaching junction three for Walderslade and Blue Bell Hill.
A Mercedes had broken down in the middle lane, just after 7pm. The three occupants managed to scramble out and stand in the central reservation just before another car collided into the Mercedes, which then burst into flames.
Fire crews from Strood, Medway and Dartford were sent. One man who had been in the car suffered minor injuries.
Police closed a section of motorway while the fire was tackled.
