Car hits traffic island in Bligh Way, Strood

A road has been closed after a car hit a traffic island.

The crash happened in Strood just after 3pm this afternoon.

Police were called to Bligh Way.

There were no reports of injuries but the road was closed because of of a spillage believed to be oil or diesel.

A police spokesman said: "We were called at 3.08pm following reports of a road traffic incident involving a car and a bollard on Bligh Way, Rochester.

"The road was closed due liquid on the road."
