A crash caused delays on the M2.

Traffic was stopped after a vehicle crashed in to the central reservation between junction 4 for Gillingham and junction 3 for Blue Bell Hill.

The road was closed in both directions but the coastbound carriageway has now reopened. The third lane remained closed heading to London but reopened at 5.45pm.

Police and paramedics were called to the scene.
