Car overturns in Princes Avenue in Chatham

Emergency crews were called to an overturned car by a children’s day care centre this morning.

Paramedics attended the accident in Princes Avenue near the junction of Swallow Rise, in Walderslade, Chatham, at 7.52am today (March 19).

The ambulance service said crews assessed and treated one patient at the scene, before discharging them.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service said it was called to reports of a car crash involving two vehicles - where one of the cars had overturned.

A spokesperson said: “One person was trapped inside a vehicle, but following an assessment from paramedics, firefighters were able to release the person safely.”

Fire crews left the scene at 8.06am.

The force said: “Officers attended along with paramedics who treated a woman for injuries not considered to be life-threatening. Patrols remain at the scene while the incident is responded to.”
