Drivers are facing delays of up to an hour after a multi-vehicle crash.

Police closed all four lanes of the M2 coastbound between junction 3 for Chatham and Rochester, to junction 4 for Gillingham.

Police, fire and ambulance crews were all alerted following the collision just before 5pm.

Traffic was initially allowed to use the hard shoulder to pass the scene, before all lanes reopened at around 6.30pm.

Two people have been injured, with their injuries not deemed to be life threatening.

It is a separate incident from an M2 earlier crash near to junction 3.
