An overturned car has caused traffic delays on the M2.

The Vauxhall Corsa has flipped over on the coastbound carriageway of the motorway, about half a mile from Junction 3 (Chatham). Police have said the driver was not seriously hurt in the incident, which happened just before 3pm.

The car is currently blocking lanes one and two, but lane three remains open. Police, Kent Fire and Rescue and the South East Coast Ambulance Service are on the scene.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: “We are advising motorists to expect delays but we hope to have the carriageway fully reopened very shortly.”
