Car wrecked after collision with tree in Strood

A car was left wrecked after colliding with a tree in Strood yesterday afternoon.

It's thought the driver managed to escape without serious injury following the crash at the junction between Scholars Rise and Bligh Way.

Witnesses say they saw two cars travelling at speed before the collision.

Kent Police said they were called at 12.56pm on Friday January 3 to a report a car had collided with a tree.

Officers attended the scene to assist with recovery.

The South East Coast Ambulance Service was also in attendance.

There are no reports of serious injuries.
