A caravan was destroyed after the occupants left clothes drying next to a gas fire sparking a blaze.
Firefighters from Strood were called out to the Haven Holiday Park in Allhallows on Wednesday after staff on the site spotted the static caravan on fire.
A crew went to the park in Avery Way, at about 10.30am and found the unit well alight.
Before they arrived site maintenance staff had managed to remove gas bottles hooked up to the caravan.
Another caravan next to the burning one was moved before the flames spread to it.
A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue Service, said: "A family of Hungarian holidaymakers had gone out for the day and had left their wet washing close to a gas fire.
"Unfortunately these caught alight and the fire spread quickly across the caravan and destroyed it.
"Just the base of the caravan was left by the time we put the flames out.
"The site staff did well in moving the gas bottles and the other caravan, but we would remind people never to leave clothes drying next to a gas fire.
"This sort of incident just shows how quickly a fire can break out and destroy everything around it."
