A fire destroyed two cars and a shed at the same house in the early hours of this morning.

Firefighters from Strood and Larkfield stations attended the blaze at the property in Pilgrim's Road, Halling at 4am.

A spokesman from Strood station said: "Two cars and a shed were completely destroyed by the fire.

"The cause is unknown but the cars were far enough apart that they didn't spread to each other."

A police spokesman said: "Officers attended after it was reported a garden fence, a Nissan Micra and a Seat Alhambra were set alight."

Officers are investigating the circumstances and enquiries are ongoing.
