When little Tommy Tucker first sat outside an estate agents’ office in Rochester he didn’t exactly sing for his supper.
However, this hungry stray with a heart on his chest cried loudly enough for the staff there to take pity on him and feed him.
Now he is looking for a permanent home where he’ll never go hungry.
As soon as Tommy Tucker felt safe, he returned to the office every day for food.
With a bit of coaxing it took the staff a few weeks to fully gain his trust.
Once they felt confident that Tommy Tucker wouldn’t run away when they approached him, the staff contacted Animals Lost And Found in Kent who visited the office to perform a microchip check on the dirty and flea-riddled cat.
The check revealed that he did not have a chip and, as it was apparent that he was too small and vulnerable to be left out on his own, Tommy Tucker was rescued by Anim-Mates.
Fosterer Bobbie Bajwa said: “After a week in our care his stomach settled and he put on weight.
“This little boy is extremely affectionate and gentle and could be a perfect family pet. We think he is only about six months old.
“He loves being picked up and cuddled. He purrs non-stop.
“He has finally found love and can’t get enough of it.
“We have to keep a stray for a minimum of a month in case an owner comes forward, but in Tommy Tucker’s case all attempts to find his owner were unsuccessful.”
Tommy Tucker is now neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and flea and worm treated.
