Plans have been submitted to build a spacious outdoor eatery at one of the county's most popular venues.
The focus of the proposed scheme at Chatham's Dockside Outlet Centre is a central single storey, largely glazed "pod" cafe/restaurant.
If given the go-ahead by council planners, it will have seating arranged outside at each end.
Developers hope the plan will complement the many existing restaurants between the former Dickens World attraction and the shopping centre.
It would make the most of the outlook towards the dockside waters, the surrounding luxury modern housing and Pier 5 which houses more eateries.
It would be close to the disabled car parking area with toilet facilities within the restaurant.
Gradually, empty units opposite the entrance to the outlet centre are being filled.
KFC moved into the former Chimichanga at the beginning of the year.
Plans have also been approved for a Costa and Kaspa's dessert diner and bowling alley in the venue which was dedicated to the world of Charles Dickens.
Gymfinity and Ninja Warrior UK have also opened for business.
