Curry and charity will be on the menu at the Medway Messenger's Curry Night in aid of The Friends of the Wisdom Hospice.
The group is the paper's Charity of the Year for 2010, and is the only adult hospice serving the Medway and Swale area.
Every year the Friends has to raise £578,000 a year to help with the running of the hospice in High Bank, Rochester.
In support of the charity the Medway Messenger is holding a curry night at Spice Fusion on Tuesday, July 20. Owner Kiron Haque has given over a night at the Rainham restaurant to the event.
Mr Haque said: "Doing something like this is a way of giving back to the community. It's great we can give something back to the Wisdom Hospice."
The Friends' grant goes to the running of the hospice and also funds extra equipment which does not come under the NHS budget.
Much of the money comes from donations and fundraising events.
Medway Messenger editor Bob Bounds said: "We want as many people as possible to come along to our curry night and support the work of the charity, which is about so much more than hospice care."
Tickets for the event cost £25, with £20 going to The Friends of the Wisdom Hospice. There will be three-course set menus, with an option for vegetarians.
