A Chatham man is due to appear before magistrates after being charged with a burglary in Gillingham.

Officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress in Canterbury Street, at about 6.15pm, on Saturday, April 14.

Dariusz Gawron, 39, of New Road Avenue, Chatham, has been charged with burglary and asked for two other Gillingham burglaries to be taken into consideration.

Gawron is due to appear at Medway Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, July 3.
