Chatham man charged with attempted murder

A Chatham man has been charged with attempted murder following an alleged stabbing at an address in Bryant Street, in the town.

Nathan Slade, 21, is accused of stabbing Graham Winder, 26, in the early hours of Saturday morning and appeared before magistrates in Medway earlier today (Monday).

Mr Winder, was taken to Kings College Hospital, in London, with serious injuries, but he is said to be in a stable condition.

Police were called to the address at about 12.50am and arrested Slade near the scene of the incident.

Slade, of Luton Road, was remanded in custody and will next appear at court on Monday, August 20.
