A man has been charged with two murder bids after a shooting in Gillingham, police said today.

Adam Green, of Hards Town, Chatham, is accused of two counts of attempted murder following an incident in Railway Street last year.

The 25-year-old has been remanded in custody and is due to appear in court at a date yet to be set.

Two men - aged 27 and 34 -suffered serious injuries in the shooting, but were later discharged from hospital.

The alleged offences relate to an incident reported to have happened at around 3pm on April 12, 2012 at an industrial plot comprising several vehicle-related businesses near Gillingham station.
