Chatham boss Kevin Watson hopes he’s seen the signs that his side are about to turn a corner.
They ended a string of defeats with a draw against Ware last weekend and ran higher division opponents Bury Town close in the Alan Boon League Cup on Tuesday night, before losing 3-2.
Watson’s side had suffered three successive defeats without scoring a goal but will take plenty of positives into their home game with high-flying Enfield Town at Maidstone Road on Saturday.
Enfield sit fourth in Ryman League Division 1 North and Chatham are nine points further adrift in 16th. With a large part of the season to play, Watson feels his side are still well positioned.
Watson (pictured) added: "It is tough at the moment but the fortunate thing is that we are still in a good position. We just need a couple of decent results to climb right up the table. We do know, though, that the longer we go on without winning, the harder it is going to get.
"The good thing is that we drew on Saturday and stopped the losing run."
Jack Jeffrey is a doubt for the weekend but Brad Potter is back from injury and Chris Hill is also available again.
