Chatham look set to be playing in Ryman League Division 1 North again next season after one year in the South.

The decision should be confirmed at Friday's meeting of the FA’s National Leagues Committee who will confirm all promotion and relegation issues around the country, as well as league reorganisation.

New Chatham boss Kevin Watson (pictured) agreed to take the job before knowing where the club will be playing next season but said he would have no problem playing in Division 1 North.

He added: "People always talk about which one is the stronger division but I believe it’s all about how we do as a club and that is what I will be focusing on."

Watson is already planning for pre-season, with four friendlies and the make-up of his squad still be confirmed.

He said: "There are some players I would like to keep but that might be out of my hands as a lot of things can happen.

"I have also spoken to a couple of others who are on my radar."

Watson will meet Chatham’s squad at the club’s presentation night on Friday and hopes to finalise his backroom team shortly.
