More than 150 schoolchildren Rainbows, Brownies, youth group members, Beavers and nursery children celebrated the wildlife and heritage of their part of Medway.
Songs and dance, costumes, banners, poetry and stories were all part of the fun, which started at Halling Community Centre on the evening of Friday, May 14.
The children walked along the river’s edge near Bishop’s Palace.
The project was led by TRADS, a creative arts organisation, as part of the Valley of Visions Engaging Landscapes project; helping young people to learn about and connect to their local surroundings through the creative arts.
Valley of Visions is a three-year Heritage Lottery Fund project investing in the landscape and countryside of the Medway Gap and “providing new opportunities to engage the local community to conserve, enhance and celebrate the natural beauty and heritage of the area”.
