An NHS campaign to improve Medway’s sexual health will see a series of chlamydia screening sessions held this week.
NHS teams will be at MidKent College today (Monday, December 7) and on Thursday, December 10, between 10am and 3pm.
Sessions will also be held at the Twydall Clinic on Wednesday, December 9, from 2.30pm and 5pm and across the Hoo Peninsula and outlying villages today (Monday) Tuesday and Wednesday, December 7, 8 and 9, when the team joins forces with the SOS Bus.
The team will also offer sexual health advice and support, including free condoms as part of Medway’s C Card scheme.
Aeilish Geldenhuys, senior public health manager said: “Last quarter we were able to screen around 3000 young people for Chlamydia.
Chlamydia screening and treatment is easy and painless and could protect you from sexual health complications in the future."
