Smokers in Strood suffered this week after a supermarket's supply was stolen.
Tesco Superstore in Cuxton Road, Strood was targeted in the early hours of Sunday, August, 19.
A customer said when she arrived at the supermarket they saw the cigarette counter was empty.
Allegedly four tills were also stolen.
No staff were in the store at the time it reopened the next day.
A Tesco spokesperson said: “We can confirm that a robbery took place at our Strood Superstore on Sunday night and we are supporting the police with their investigations.
The store is open and serving customers as normal.”
Kent police spokesman James Walker said: "Kent Police is investigating a report that a supermarket in Cuxton Road, Strood, was burgled during the early hours of Sunday 19 August 2018.
"The offence is believed to have taken place between 3.20am and 4.45am and a quantity of cigarettes and cash is reported to have been stolen.
"At present, no arrests have been made however officers are conducting ongoing enquiries.

Tesco have been contacted for a comment.
