As the clocks go back this weekend parents and children will be travelling to school in the dark when they return from half-term.
To help keep youngsters across the Towns safe, we have teamed up with Medway Council and Specsavers for an important giveaway.
The number of pedestrian and cyclist casualties often increase in the winter months because motorists struggle to see them during darker conditions.
And as the days get shorter, road safety teams want to ensure young people are as safe as they possibly can be and remind families how important it is to be visible.
To do so the KM Group has joined the 'Be Bright, Be Seen' campaign.
We have fluorescent keyrings and hi-vis vests to give away for youngsters to use to help them be more visible to drivers while walking along the pavement or crossing roads.
The council's portfolio holder for frontline services, Cllr Phil Filmer, said: "I am very pleased we are working with Specsavers Medway and the KM Group on this important campaign.
"As the nights draw in, even the smallest amount of reflective wear such as a keyring, bag tag or sticker can make a difference and help keep you, and your loved ones, safe.
"I would encourage all residents to Be Bright and Be Seen this winter."
Craig Holland, retail director of Specsavers Medway Stores, added: "We are proud to be working with Medway Council Road Safety to help children stay safe on the roads this winter and helping the community see more clearly".
Applications are open now to register to receive the free keyrings and jackets but they will be in high demand, so do not delay in submitting yours.

Teachers, teaching assistants, youth group leaders and head teachers can apply for their allocation of free keyrings and/or jackets which will be sent to their school, scouting groups or other community organisations.
All Year 6 children across Medway will also be receiving a free 'Be Bright, Be Seen' keyring from Medway Council via their school.
