Collector hit with brick

A CASH collector was injured by two thugs who threw a brick at his head in an unprovoked attack as he walked along a road in Chatham.
The 54-year-old, who has not been named, was on his rounds in King Edward Road, collecting newspaper subscription money when the attack happened.
The two attackers are believed to have thrown the brick at the back of his head, causing a 3in cut, which later required stitching.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, July 15 between 7-7.15pm and police in Medway are appealing for anyone who saw it or knows anything about it to contact them.
One of the thugs is thought to be either mixed race or Asian, in his 30s and of stocky build.
He had shaven hair and an unshaven/stubbly face and was wearing a white top and white trousers.
The second attacker was white, in his early 30s, around 6ft and of a slim build.
He was wearing a distinctive yellow and dark green striped jumper, dark coloured tracksuit bottoms, light coloured trainers and a blue cap.
