The deaths of a mother and her young daughter remain a mystery more than seven weeks after they were found in a flat in Gillingham.
Post mortem examinations have failed to find a cause and further tests are to be carried out.
The Health and Safety Executive, which was called in to investigate, is no longer involved.
A police spokesman confirmed this week there were no updates on how Lillian Oluk, 36, and two-year-old Lynne Mutumba died at their home at Trafalgar Court, Trafalgar Street.
Their bodies were found on Monday March 14, but it is understood the pair may have died up to eight days previously.
Neighbours have this week expressed their concern over the lack of information about what happened.
Mum Adrianne Ireland, 22, who has a five-month baby, Vinny, said: "It's very worrying. When it first happened the police were everywhere. When I asked what happened they just said it was a sensitive matter.
"But having a new-born baby I would like to know what went on. There have been lots of rumours flying round,
"We saw the police go in and remove belongings, and health and safety have been and gone."
Tracey Emma, 30, who lives a few doors away, said: "It's very sad, especially as a little girl was involved. It's like it has been brushed under the carpet."
Another mum, Justine Blackman, 43, said: "I have three daughters. It's so local, right on our doorstep. Nobody seems to know what’s going on."
Haken Biner, 44, who runs Peter's Fish and Chip Shop in Trafalgar Street, said: "The police came in one day and took our CCTV and that was the last we heard."
Ms Oluk's family have paid a heartfelt tribute to the "fun-loving" and "truly wonderful mother".
They said: "We are shocked and overcome with grief over the untimely death of our daughter and sister Lillian Oluk and her daughter.
"She adored her daughter and worked really hard to give her the best life she could.
"We are devastated… and hope the cause of death will be established soon."
