The council has issued a warning to fly-tippers after removing 11 tonnes of asbestos-ridden waste from a street.
Officers from Medway Council were called to the junction of Cooling Road and Rye Street, in Cooling, to clear the rubbish.
A specialist contractor has been brought in to move what's left, as it has asbestos in it.
The local authority said: "Fly-tipping is completely unacceptable and anyone found dumping rubbish in Medway will be prosecuted.
"Sometimes it can take us longer than usual to remove larger fly-tips as we assess the waste for asbestos and we may have to arrange for specialist vehicles to remove the waste.
"In this case, we did find asbestos and a specialist contractor is due to remove it on Wednesday."
